Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on March 28th and arrive on March 29th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!! Updated: 3/05/2025 Dog Name: Maddie Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Chihuahua/ Rat Terrier mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 15-20 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Spayed Description: Maddie was saved after being abandoned with over 20 other small dogs. She was very pregnant, starving and extremely cold! Many of the dogs that she knew and grew up with had either frozen or starved to death. By the time the neighbor reached out to our rescue partners, only 9 dogs were still trying to survive. This was a time sensitive emergency and they needed to act fast. As they got everyone into foster care, Maddie and another female were assessed and it was determined she would give birth within a week of being saved!  Unfortunately, Maddie got cozy and comfy in her foster home but she was just very unhealthy and uncared for throughout her early parts of pregnancy. Maddie suffered a painful and traumatic miscarriage, loosing 3 beautiful souls. Our hearts just ache for her, she was very sad and missing her babies. She is now learning that her life will be good and she will never have to worry about that ever again. Maddie is a sweetheart, a gentle girl with so much love to give. It’s hard to believe anyone can neglect and abuse these beautiful & compassionate animals. Maddie is a gem and very special, once you meet her- there’s no denying it!  Adoption Fee: $450
