Hi, my adoption name is Genevieve but my foster kids call me Ripple, Rip for short. I am a very very good dog. I am potty trained, and go into my crate very well. I can sleep in a kennel at night but prefer a bed with a blanket and my human. Most nights I sleep with foster mom but probably would sleep with my 10-year-old boy every night if I could other than Fridays and Saturdays . I love hard, chewy toys, as I tend to shred the stuffed ones. I love walks even if we never get far because my nose is sniffing the ground the entire time! I love being outside, but also could nap the day away. I'm a great snuggler but my boy does call me a bed hog whatever that means. I do well with other dogs I like males more than females (submissive female she does great). Cats are fine as long as they don't bother me. I'm learning new tricks sitting, staying and laying down. I will chase bunnies and squirrels. The only thing we are working on is meeting new people. It just takes me a little longer to trust new people, but once I do I'm the perfect ideal girl. I am new to living in a house and being outside so I'm looking for a person or a family that is willing to work with me on new things. I am brave and will do it if you do it. We can't wait to answer any questions you have!!
Adoption Process
Our adoption process includes an adoption application. After reviewing your application and contacting the vet and personal references, a meeting is scheduled between the potential adopter and the pet, in the foster's home or a neutral animal friendly place. If there are any resident animals within the home, it is required that they meet at this time. After the meeting, a home visit by one our representatives is REQUIRED prior to finalizing any adoption and we must meet all members of the household where the pet will be living sometime during the adoption process. 6 month post-adoption check in is completed.
