Meet Flora

FLORA Available for Adoption Hi, I'm Flora! I'm a sweet little lady of just 4 years old, weighing in at a dainty 14 pounds. My coat is beautiful (if I do say so myself) and the best part? I hardly shed at all! I came from Chicago Animal Control, but that's the past—I'm looking forward to my future with you! I'm already crate trained and know exactly where to do my business (never in the house, I promise). I might seem a bit shy when we first meet—please don't take it personally! I just need a minute to figure out if you're my kind of human. Once I warm up though, you'll never get rid of me! My favorite place in the whole world is curled up on a warm lap, preferably yours. I'm looking for a nice, quiet home where I can feel safe and loved. I really prefer the company of humans over other animals—you're my favorite species by far! A home where I can be your one and only furry companion would be ideal. Could you be my forever family? I promise to give you all my love and loyalty if you'll just give me a chance and a cozy lap to call home! I have been spayed and microchipped and have had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines. My adoption fee is $325. For more information or if you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption survey at carenorthshore.org/dog-adoption-survey

Adoption Process
Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
