Pet Haven Inc. of MN

Pet Haven is Minnesota's oldest animal rescue group. Pet Haven's vision is to be a rewarding place to volunteer, find a quality home for each animal, encourage a community of responsible companion animal guardians, eliminate the community's need to euthanize dogs and cats as a means of population control, and encourage a society where animals become more valued.

Meet Millie

Meet Millie!Millie is an affectionate and playful 10-week-old Lab/Shepherd mix with the sweetest personality!. Weighing in at 10 pounds now, she is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. Millie is a loving, snuggly pup who thrives on human attention while also gaining confidence in her surroundings.Millie is a wonderful balance of playful energy and affectionate cuddles. Though she is slightly more reserved than her bold sister Marley, she is quickly gaining confidence and loves engaging in play time—especially when it involves wrestling her sister to the ground! She has an adorably goofy play style, often pouncing on toys like a kitten and showering her humans with kisses. Her happy, silly antics will keep you smiling all day long. While Millie enjoys bursts of energy playing outside or running around the yard, she is also a snuggle bug at heart. She adores curling up in her human’s lap, and she isn’t shy about letting you know when she wants attention. If she had her way, she’d be carried around like a little baby!Millie has done well adjusting to her foster home, especially with the support of her sister. She tends to look to other dogs for guidance, making her an excellent candidate for a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help her continue to blossom. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company. She also does well with cats, though she sometimes wants to play with them and is still learning to respect their space. She is great with kids and loves soaking up their affection. While she can be slightly mouthy at times (as many puppies are), she is learning quickly that gentle play is best.Millie is already crate-trained and sleeps comfortably in her kennel with her sister. She often goes inside on her own for naps and is content being in her crate when her foster mom isn’t home. She is working on house training—she knows to go outside but still uses pee pads when necessary and has occasional accidents. With continued consistency, she will master house training in no time!Millie would love a home that provides plenty of affection, structure, and socialization. She would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to help her continue building confidence. A fenced yard is recommended, as she is still learning recall and may wiggle her way through small gaps. She will need a family that is committed to continuing her training, helping her build independence, and providing daily playtime and exercise. While she isn’t as adventurous as her sister, she still loves to run and explore, especially when the weather is nice (cold is not her favorite!).Millie is an absolute sweetheart with the softest face and the gentlest personality to match. Whether she’s wrestling with her sister, pouncing on toys, or curling up in your lap, she will bring joy to every moment. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate puppy who will be your devoted companion, Millie is the perfect pup for you!Are you ready to give Millie the loving forever home she deserves? She can’t wait to meet you!
