Looking for A Home for Chonky-Kitty

When the Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia, PA took to social media last week and tweeted an adorable picture of a giant car needing a home, it never expected the post to go viral — and for this cat, also known as ‘Chonky-Kitty’ to be adopted so soon.

The animal rescue center posted several photos of this cat that goes by either BeeJay or Mr. B and asked followers to guess his weight. It also asked for some love for the cat and love he got:

A Really Big Kitty!

“OMG, big boi Mr. B is a CHONK. He’s a chonk of a chonk. He redefines the term,” Morris Animal Refuge wrote in the post. “Can you guess how much he weighs? More importantly, can you give him a home? Please RT to help this sad-eyed guy find happiness!

However, none of this could have happened without the power of social media and a giving community of cat lovers. Morris Animal Refuge tweeted the pics on Thursday, August 22 and soon received 14,000 retweets and 49,000 likes, according to Geek.com.

In fact, so many people were interested in taking this giant feline home with them that the rescue’s website crashed for the first time ever.

A Forever Home

By Sunday, the rescue center had taken to social media once again and announced that Mr. B had found an adoptive home, but no details on his new family had been released. Morris Animal Refuge posted a huge thanks on Facebook:

“We want to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of support of Mr. B and the lifesaving work we do here at Morris Animal Refuge. We have gotten it narrowed down to a handful of potential adopters that we think can give him the perfect home. His adoption should be finalized early this week!” How is that for a very happy ending?

80% of Dogs Develop Arthritis or Joint Pain by 7 Years old – Here’s How to Protect Them

Most of us train our dogs when they are puppies to jump up on furniture.  We think it’s harmless (and easier than always lifting them), but for dogs, couches and beds are very high compared to the size of their bodies.

Every time they jump it compresses their back and applies enormous force to their joints.

It’s no wonder that an incredible 80% of dogs experience arthritis or joint pain by only 7 years old.

Luckily, there is a vet-recommended solution.

It’s the PawRamp by Alpha Paw. An adjustable ramp that allows dogs to safely get on and off couches and beds. PawRamp makes joining you in bed or on the couch effortless and fun.

As a bonus, you can use code SAVE35 to get $35 off the PawRamp today.
