Meet Thorfinn

Hallo, I am Thorfinn. I'm a 5 month old brown tabby and white boy. I started my life out terrified of people, but stayed with a nice foster family that taught me I don't always have to be scared! For one, people can give me treats, and treats are SO GOOD! If you give me a Churu treat and go slowly, I will let you pet me and once we know each other better, I might even let you trim my claws--but you gotta keep that sweet, sweet Churu gravy train coming! Oh, and people are also great for playtime--they are the best at using wand toys, which I love!  I also get along with other kitties, as long as they like other kitties. I'm currently sharing a cage with my buddy Sass, but I loved all the kitties I met while I was being fostered, too. The thing is, coming back to the shelter to find my forever home? It's scary! The dogs barking, not knowing anyone, not having my favorite cat bed to curl up in.  So you are going to have to be patient with me. I will need my new family to give me lots of time to adjust. Also, I'm scared of cat carriers and will run like the devil to keep from being put into one; my foster family said I'm really smart because I'm able to figure out when I'm about to go somewhere in one, even if they leave it out for a day or two so I can get used to it first.  But please give me a chance--I will be a wonderful kitty for the right person willing to give me enough time and space to get adjusted. You can see in my photos that I can be a sweet boy. If you need any advice about how to help me if you adopt me, you can ask the people at the shelter to put you in touch with my foster mom--she will be happy to help suggest ways to help us have a great life together!   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.   Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
