Meet Katniss

Hi, my name is Katniss! I'm a dilute tortoiseshell girl, which means my fur coat is a mix of grey and peach with some cream. I'm about 4 years old, but that doesn't mean I'm old--I'm really just starting to enter the prime of life.  I try to interact with the visitors who come here so that they'll walk over and give me some pets, or even better, give me some toys to play with! I'm fairly mellow if I'm not distracted with playtime, and I'm told I'm a sweet girl. I hope you want to be my furever friend!    The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
