We are a new organization, only recently submitting our paperwork for the Federal 501(c)3. We have all volunteered with other rescue organizations and have spent years doing personal rescues. We are completely foster-based, believing small, foster-based rescues have a place in the rescue/shelter universe. We do rescue because we can't turn our backs on the animals we come across in need.

Meet Inga

Inga & Elmer were found together, after being abandoned. Elmer is incredibly friendly, but Inga is a bit more shy and looks to Elmer for safety. He takes good care of her and they need to be adopted together. What could be better than a ready-made pair?! They are fine with other cats and cat-friendly dogs. Adoption Process
We have an application that must be filled out including a vet reference and non-relative references. A 24 hour hold on the application allows the ARC volunteer to call references and follow up with any questions for the potential adopter. A home visit may be scheduled at this point. If the person is approved, they must sign a contract. An adoption fee is required, however this may be waived in special circumstances. If for any reason in the future they can no longer take care of the pet, the animal must be returned to ARC.
