We are a new organization, only recently submitting our paperwork for the Federal 501(c)3. We have all volunteered with other rescue organizations and have spent years doing personal rescues. We are completely foster-based, believing small, foster-based rescues have a place in the rescue/shelter universe. We do rescue because we can't turn our backs on the animals we come across in need.

Meet Tyrone

Tyrone the Tuxie is a total love! He was rescued from a hotel parking lot where he was adored by staff and guests alike. He talks sweetly and is an all-around good kitty who likes other cats and would likely do well with dogs with proper introduction. Come meet this charmer at our adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 at PetSmart on Harbison! Adoption Process
We have an application that must be filled out including a vet reference and non-relative references. A 24 hour hold on the application allows the ARC volunteer to call references and follow up with any questions for the potential adopter. A home visit may be scheduled at this point. If the person is approved, they must sign a contract. An adoption fee is required, however this may be waived in special circumstances. If for any reason in the future they can no longer take care of the pet, the animal must be returned to ARC.
