Meet Skipper

Skipper is a 9 month old female Lab/Hound mix, and she can’t wait to meet you! She and her sister, Barbie, have grown up together at the shelter, and while they would be just as happy being homed separately, we’d love to see them find a furever home together! Barbie is the more outgoing of the pair, and helps to bring Skipper out of her shyness! Both pups are amazing with other dogs and kids, and are so sweet and gentle.  Skipper is a very easy going girl, and is perfectly happy standing to the side while her sister greets people first. Similar to her sister, Skipper has a moderate energy level, and mainly enjoys walking around to explore. And even more, Skipper loves getting pets and cuddles from you … she usually seems to prefer cuddle time over treats! Skipper is just as dog-loving and playful as Barbie but takes a more laid-back approach around cats, not paying them much attention. She’s a total sweetheart with a gentle, easygoing vibe. Skipper was initially unsure about walking on a leash, but she is a smart girl and has quickly learned the joys of leash walking. So if you want a loyal and affectionate companion, Skipper would be a great addition for your home! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA.
