Meet Abigail

Abigail is a 9 month old female Lab mix, and is WAY too sweet to be without a home! She is a gentle and sweet-natured pup who is understandably scared in the noisy shelter environment. At first, Abigail is very shy around new people, but with kind words and some gentle pets, she warms right up. Taking her for a walk to the park helps her feel more at ease, and once there, she transforms into a joyful pup, rewarding you with big smiles. Abigail seems eager to please her human friends and is a perfect age to learn new commands. Having had so little in life, she doesn’t ask for much … but that just means she deserves that much more! This little girl is so deserving of a forever home, where she can finally know what it’s like to be a cherished member of a family. Give her that, and she will repay you with endless love, joy, and gratitude. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
