Meet Charlie

Charlie is a 1 year old male Dachshund mix, who is as sweet as he is handsome! One volunteer who recently fostered him for several days describes Charlie as a “Lab in a Dachshund’s body”, because of his sweet easy-going nature. He is initially very shy of new people, but kind words and soft treats help bring him out of his shell. After that, Charlie will charm you with his gentle and lovable side, where he is often content to simply sit by your side and soak up the love. Who knows, his small-medium size may even make him a perfect lap dog for you! Charlie seems good with other dogs, as he likes to politely greet them while on a leash walk, plus he has been fine with cats that he has met. During his foster stay, he did very well inside the home, and learned leash manners plus some crate training. So come meet this wonderful and handsome little pup. All that Charlie asks for is his forever home with a soft bed and lots of love from his people. In return, he will give you a lifetime of love, loyalty, and his complete gratitude! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
