Meet 44166 Chewy

Chewy is a pleasure to have here around the adoption center. He is gentle, curious and likes to be with his people or a doggy buddy. Chewy is obedient, loyal, walks wonderfully on leash and he likes lots of walks. He has lived around chickens and is protective of his property. Chewy is a young, 2yr old, Great Pyrenees type dog who is about 70lbs. He sits next to you while you pet him, is obedient and enjoys hearing you say “Good boy”. If you have a female dog, Chewy will need to meet her to see if he will be comfortable around her. He is starting to meet new dogs and is not fond of male dogs. He also has times that he will over correct another dog if they do something he doesn’t like.  Chewy has done good meeting calm, respectful children too. He is not comfortable with eccentric and loud behavior. After daily exercise, he will curl up with you to watch a movie before bedtime. You can visit this pet during our Animal Viewing Hours. Applications are accepted in person at our facility after you visit this pet out of their cage. You can call first to see if this pet is still available: 410-313-2780 Option 0. Location: Howard County Animal Control and Adoption Center 8576 Davis Rd Columbia, MD 21045 Animal Viewing Hours: Mon, Wed, Fri 10:00-4:30 (Closed at 2:30 the last Friday of each month) Tues & Thurs 1:30-7:00 Sat 10:00-2:00 (Closed on county observed holidays and holiday weekends.)
