Meet Sasha

Sasha and Bella, our amazing wonder pups, began their journey with us in April. One of our partner shelters was helping a high-kill shelter in their area by taking Sasha and Bella to find homes for them. Translation: "Hey SAVE, can you please take these gorgeous girls?" Of course we said yes! Unfortunately, there was a mixup and the wrong puppy was brought to the vet for health certification. The mixup was not discovered until a few days after our volunteer brought them to us, when Sasha began showing symptoms of parvo and then tested positive. Sasha was rushed to Red Bank specialty vet, where a specialist gave her a new treatment for parvo. Shortly after, Bella began showing symptoms as well, so back to Red Bank our volunteers went. With long hours of round-the-clock care and love from our volunteers, along with the help (and expense, yikes!) from Red Bank Vet and Toms River Animal Hospital, both of these amazing gals pulled through with flying colors and have a clean bill of health!They started their journey together, but now are ready to begin new journeys with families of their own. They each deserve to experience a lifetime of love and adventures, one that almost didn't happen at all. Bella and Sasha are very sweet and super active, and they will need active families to match their energy!
