Meet Minnie

This fur baby is small but mighty & fast as lightning!  Minnie is running on 100% high octane puppy power and is ready to find her forever home.   Minnie is a 6 month old rat terrier who weighs maybe 6 lbs. soaking wet.  She has a smooth coat the color of a dark chocolate brownie with a white polka dot pinafore covering her chest and belly.  White polka dot stockings on all four feet complete her unique look.  She also boasts two tiny white beauty marks on her face…which her foster mom tried to wash off during her first bath!   Minnie has not yet discovered her “indoor voice”.  She is still a puppy, so this may improve as she grows up.  But for right now, when this girl has something to say everyone is going to listen to her at full volume until she has made her point.  She may be small, but she is not going to allow herself to be overlooked!    Minnie loves to play – with humans and the other dogs in her foster home.  She is an energizer bunny that will chase and fetch (sometimes she will give the toy back, sometimes not) until everyone else is exhausted.  Her joyful spirit cannot be contained and she pulls all the other dogs into her games whether they planned on playing or not.  No one can resist her charms for very long.   Minnie’s foster mom works, but she is doing great with potty pads during the day.  Minnie knows to go potty outside as well.  Please expect there to be an accident or two as she gets used to her new forever home.  It will be a big adjustment to learn a new routine, and she is still a baby.  She learns very quickly and is very proud of each new accomplishment.  Minnie has had some crate training and after some initial outcry & complaining, she will settle in.  She is not leash trained, but she does drag a leash when she is outside to get used to the feeling of the leash around her.  Her new family will have to complete the leash training process with her.    Minnie would do great with another dog in her forever home – someone to play with, someone to go on adventures with, someone to teach her how to be the best dog ever.  She is very high energy, so a dog close to her age would be best.  The senior dogs in her foster home are tolerating her non-stop rock & roll, ride or die, grab-everything-life-has-to-offer level of enthusiasm, but she is starting to push their buttons.  Their “old dog, lay in the sun, what time is dinner? and get off my lawn”  kind of attitude is a buzz kill for this tiny party girl. She wants to be where the fun is! She would be a great addition to any active family.   Minnie plays hard and she cuddles hard.  She will drape over your shoulder while you are watching TV, curl up under your chin if you are binge-watching, share your pillow in bed (if you let her!), and never be very far from your side. She wants to be held, she wants to be carried.  She will stand on her hind legs with her front feet in the air to signal “uppies”.  She rides well in the car & wants to go with her people everywhere, all the time.  She is very affectionate and is always bubbling over with kisses.  If you love high energy and are ready to drown in puppy love – Minnie is the girl for you!  Minnie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated.  Her adoption fee is $450
