Meet Chico

Sweet senior Chiquito, also known as Chico, is now looking for his new home. Chico is approximately 11-12 years old and weighs only 8 pounds! We don't know Chico's story, just that he landed in a shelter and needed a rescue to pull him as he was not considered adoptable.  Of course we said yes - we love our senior dogs and know you do too! Chico is a sweet guy. He is content to snooze the day away, sometimes cuddled up with another dog or just by himself. He likes to be outside and will soak up the sun when it's nice. Chico has a fully fenced yard in his foster home, which is nice for him but not required. He will walk on a leash just fine. Chico is good in the car and likes to go for rides. He is quite the little watchdog too and will give you notice if anything is amiss! He is good with other dogs unless they get really rowdy around him, at which point he tells them to stop messing around. He did bark at the house cats initially but has gotten used to them now. He is food-motivated and loves, loves, loves cheese and snacks! He is a sweet and sometimes silly dog when it comes to his treats.  Chico is laid back most of the time but he is far from too old - he will be a great companion to someone who needs a friend, someone to talk to, someone to take care of.   He needs you just as much as you need him! Chico is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has had a dental when he came to us and it he is feeling SO much better now!  His adoption fee is $300
