Meet Jimmy Dean

Jimmy Dean is an adorable Cairn Terrier/ Yorkie mix, we think!!!  He is about 4 years old and weighs 13 pounds.   Jimmy's human mom passed away and her kids couldn't wait to get him out of the home.  We didn't want him to go to the shelter so we took him in.  Poor little guy is terrified and he was growling at the vet staff.  Turns out his mom was a back yard breeder and the family only wanted to keep the "adoptable" ones.   Luckily little Jimmy Dean is getting more comfortable and is starting to trust his caretakers.  They can now take him out of the crate and love on him.  We feel he would do best in a home without small children since we don't know if he's ever been around any.  He does well with other dogs and with a little patience he will make a perfect lap dog.   If you would like to meet Jimmy Dean please fill out an application from our website.  Fenced yard required for his safety.

Adoption Process
We have a thorough adoption process that includes an adoption application, vet check (All current and past pets have to be current on vacs. and spayed/neutered), and home check (fence required for larger dogs, etc.). If those come out good and the adoption is finalized, there is an adoption fee that is paid and a contract is signed by the adopter stating that the animal must be routinely vetted and the animal is not allowed to go to any other home w/out the rescue's approval. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before adopting out and currenton vacs (as well as flea and HW meds).
