Meet Duckie

Meet Duckie! (Duck) Duckie is a 2.5-year-old Chocolate Lab/Husky mix with an energetic personality and a heart full of love. This beautiful girl is crate trained, housebroken (though she can have a small accident if she gets too excited), and spayed. She weighs around 60-70 lbs and is ready to find a forever home where she can thrive. What makes Duck special? Duck is a friendly, active dog who loves to play, especially fetch! She’s good with other dogs and even cats—though she needs a slow introduction to her feline friends and can sometimes bark or chase them outside (but never harms them). She does well around kids, though her size and excitement might make her less ideal for homes with babies or toddlers. Duck does best in a home with a fenced-in yard, where she can run and play safely. She loves being around people, but may whine when there’s a lot going on around her if she's in her crate. She’s also a great protector, doing a wonderful job of alerting to strangers but quickly warming up once introduced. Who would be the perfect match for Duck? An active home where she can get plenty of exercise and playtime would be ideal! Duck would love a family who enjoys outdoor activities and can give her the attention and companionship she craves. If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and protective dog, Duck could be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption Process
We have a thorough adoption process that includes an adoption application, vet check (All current and past pets have to be current on vacs. and spayed/neutered), and home check (fence required for larger dogs, etc.). If those come out good and the adoption is finalized, there is an adoption fee that is paid and a contract is signed by the adopter stating that the animal must be routinely vetted and the animal is not allowed to go to any other home w/out the rescue's approval. All of our animals are spayed/neutered before adopting out and currenton vacs (as well as flea and HW meds).
